User manual
This manual shows where to go and what to select in Usakey, with screenshots of the actual screens. Pick the pages that match your plan and your role. For API specifications and implementation details, see the developer documentation.
New to Usakey? Read these in order
On any plan, these three pages take you from signing up to confirming that you can actually stop your app remotely.
- Step 1 Getting started Sign up for Usakey and set up your first product, policy, and license. Every plan starts here.
- Step 2 Add license checks to your app Two ways to add licensing to your app: let an AI assistant do it through MCP, or add the SDK yourself.
- Step 3 Turn a license off and on Suspend a license, confirm that your app stops working, then resume it and confirm that the app works again.
For vendors using Usakey
These pages are for people who use the Usakey console. Each page lists the plans it applies to and the roles that can do the work.

Guides available on each plan
You can't use a guide on a plan that doesn't include the feature. The Evaluation plan allows up to 2 products, 4 licenses, and 5 devices, and only test-environment products (licenses expire within 1 hour of issue).

For what each role (owner, admin, member, viewer) can do, see the table in Work as a team. Resellers don't sign in to Usakey. You add each reseller yourself and link customer organizations to it (see Set up the customer portal).
Screenshots were taken in a test environment with sample data. IDs such as product IDs, license keys, and activation tokens are masked. Some details may change as we improve the screens.
